Why are my results not exporting to Excel?

You may get error 1004 when an export fails. This is usually caused by the presentation being saved in an incompatible location.

Check that your voting presentation is saved locally on your computer, not on a server or USB stick. One Drive locations can cause a problem. One Drive normally covers Desktop as well as Documents. Please ensure that you have a folder on your C drive called CLiKAPAD enabled courses. Move your course folder (not just the presentation, it needs the custom report template and participant list too) to there and then run the export again. 

Ensure that Excel isn't busy doing something else. If you have a spreadsheet open, your voting software may not be able to communicate with it. Close any current spreadsheets and try again.

Check that there is data present on the presentation. When you go to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Voting Results > View/Export data to Excel, you should first see a preview of the data. If there are no results there then there is nothing to export and you will see a message saying that there is no live data. 

If you are sure that there was data on the presentation, send the file to wja@clikapad.com and we will check whether it can be restored.
